The Tea Stand

Farm stands, porch stands, freshly baked goods, and health conscious, home-made products seem to be the thing these days. Some may see it as a trend, but I see something else. I see it as a movement. A longing for simplicity, goodness, peace, and wholeness.
Choosing simplicity and peace can only take place as we step away from the constant chaos that endlessly swirls about us. I'm not actually an advocate for stepping away from the world indefinitely. But, I do know that we live in seasons, and some seasons are for the purpose of healing and recovery. For those of us with a more sensitive nature, we know that until our nervous system is allowed to signal safety cues, we cannot embody the peace, rest, and joy that we long to carry to others.
It's with this thought in mind that I started baking my products. I sense a shift in my season. After enduring my own season of healing and recovery, I am longing to be a part of the solution to our over-exertion, our living in survival mode, and our constant exposure to extremes. In otherwords, I want to make choices that help me recover my humanity, and in that, help others do the same.
So, what is The Tea Stand? It's Jubilee Seasons next line of products (only available locally) that help to strengthen our immune systems and address chronic inflammatory responses, all while learning to live in joy and a more abundant mindset. We cannot ignore the health cues our bodies give us, but we don't need to hyper-fixate either. Instead, we can make choices that don't seem restrictive while addressing our underlying health issues. It just takes some knowledge sometimes that hasn't always been available.
With that in mind, I bake products using alternative flours such as oat and spelt, that have not been enriched with synthetic B vitamins. I also look for brands of flour that have not been sprayed with glysophate. And, some of my products are even dairy-free and low sugar, or no sugar added.
I have always loved to bake. I also know that joy comes through serving others. And while that in itself is great motivation to expand Jubilee Seasons this way, I can't help but see something else. I see a return to home, to family, to cultivating true community. I see a slower paced life filled with laughter and simplicity. I see gardens, and greenhouses, and allowing for the land all around us to be renewed. And, I think I see what true revival might look like in this season...
