Jubilee Seasons
Every 50 years...
the ancient Hebrews were instructed to celebrate a year of Jubilee. In this, those who were enslaved and indebted were to be “set free.” It was also a time where the land could rest from its continual plowing in an agrarian society. Sadly, this rarely happened.
Eternal Jubilee
Later, the prophet Isaiah declared that a permanent season of Jubilee would be established when the Messiah appeared. Jesus Himself declared that He was that Anointed One who would “set the captive free.” And in the gospel of John, we see that His mission was to do just that–set people free from the tyranny of sin, pain, sickness, and ill treatment. Jesus knew His end goal. “…at the wrap up of time, I have everything and everyone put together, upright and whole.” (John 6:39, MSG)
Our Goal
That is the heart behind Jubilee Seasons–wholeness. Our goal is simply to bring the needed encouragement, through our resources and products, that help those dealing with chronic stress related issues, cultivate peace: spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Our
Story
About 25 years ago, Kristene walked into the Environmental Health Center of Dallas and took a seat in the waiting room. She had just received a diagnosis of fibromyalgia and could barely sit up in the chair due to fatigue and pain. She looked around and took note of the people in masks, and others attached to portable oxygen tanks. To this day, she remembers the general feeling in the room–hopelessness and fear. However, as sick as she was, she wasn’t hopeless. She knew Jesus could heal her. So, it was here that she came every day for intense treatments that lasted 6 months. On the other side of these treatments (sauna therapy, immunotherapy, vitamin IVs, oxygen therapy, a controlled diet, elimination of environmental triggers, etc.), Kristene regained her health.
She has since learned that those who specialize in treating Fibromyalgia recommend their patients also get tested for ADHD. The latest research has redefined both as neuro-inflammatory conditions and suggests the two share the same inflammatory pathways.
Like most women, Kristene was not diagnosed as a child, but has come to terms with her ADHD wiring. She now understands that in order for her to flourish, she has to support her biological needs; and she sees her highly-sensitive central nervous system as a gift. She's convinced that those of us who are wired a bit differently, simply need extra support for our particular physiology and neurology, as well as our unique emotional makeup and needs. And with that support, we can live vibrant, creative, healthy lives.
Kristene shares with people who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, or other chronic-stress related illnesses, that "our bodies are telling us a story. One that needs to be listened to with compassion. And, that our heavenly Father knows how we are formed, as well as how to strengthen and heal us."
Jubilee Seasons products are certainly beneficial for and can be enjoyed by all. But with that, our specific mission is one of support and encouragement for those who are recovering from burnout and/or other chronic-stress related issues. We believe that these seasons are not random, but rather an invitation. A doorway into the ultimate healing of recovering our truest selves, and learning to rest fully in the love of the Father, and the abundant life He offers.
