Holy Hush

Holy basil is an adaptogen also known as Tulsi in eastern parts of the world. It is considered medicinal in countries where herbal medicine is practiced. Adaptogens help the body recover after stressful situations. It is said that holy basil may boost levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a chemical in the brain that elevates a sense of calmness and helps to lessen cortisol spikes. Other research suggests that holy basil improves metabolic functions, helps to alleviate inflammation, and assists in getting a good night’s sleep. Ginger and turmeric are widely used spices considered to be at the top of the list of antioxidant rich foods.
