The Artistry of Navigating Seasons

Have you ever noticed that when seasons change, something different is often required of us? Some seasons invite us to plant, to dream, begin something new, and trust God with seeds we may not see grow for a good while. Some seasons are for tending. They ask us to show up faithfully, often in quiet ordinary ways, that may not seem remarkable, but matter deeply. Of course, harvest seasons tend to come upon us in an unexpected manner. They remind us to receive with gratitude, celebrate God's faithfulness, and share what we have been given. There are also seasons we would not choose for ourselves, such as seasons of waiting, grief, or uncertainty.
But then, there are seasons of rest and recovery. These can be the hardest to embrace because our culture tells us that constant productivity is the measure of a meaningful life. Yet, throughout Scripture, we see God weaving rhythms of Sabbath, renewal, and restoration into His creation, and inviting us to enter in. From this perspective, rest isn't stepping away from purpose–it's part of God's design.
This is the heart behind what we do at Jubilee Seasons. We want to create space that allows you to breathe while you work through whatever season you may find yourself.
Free Resources
Over the next few months, I will be adding free downloads/resources that helped me navigate my own season of rest and recovery. These resources will be easily sharable with others and my hope is that you find them encouraging and useful. I needed to address specific health issues over the past few years. So, the first downloads are excerpts from Jubilee Seasons' digital magazines addressing a holistic approach to healing; along with healthier recipes that pair with your tea time. You can find these at https://payhip.com/JubileeSeasons
A Place for Deeper Conversations
I'm also writing on Substack. This is a place for a more indepth discussion concerning healing and wholeness. It will include lessons I've learned (and am still learning). Faith reflections. And a deeper dive into what the early Church Fathers and Mothers taught about salvation and the healing of the soul. If you would like to take this journey with me, we can continue the conversation one season at a time at https://jubileeseasons.substack.com
Start Wherever You Are
Navigating a new season can seem a bit daunting. You don't have to learn everything needed all at once. Start with one download. Read one magazine. Make yourself one cup of herbal tea. And while you enjoy the warmth of the cup in your hands, and the soothing flavor of your tea, say one simple prayer asking Father to help you be faithful to your season, whether it's planting, tending, harvesting, resting, recovering, or something altogether different.
The beauty of allowing God to lead us through our seasons is that we don't have to force ourselves to bloom in winter or harvest in spring. We can receive each season for what it is, trusting that the One who created the rhythms of nature also knows the rhythms of our hearts. And that He is the master artist always working to bring about something beautiful through it all.
Perhaps the prayer is not, "How can I get out of the season I find myself in?" but rather, "What is this season inviting me to notice, nurture, release, or receive?"
