I drink about 3-4 cups of herbal tea everyday. I also take supplements prescribed for me by a homeopathic practitioner. Drinking 3-4 cups of tea daily (with a few added food-based supplements) is considered safe for most people. However, there are still precautions to consider when beginning any health regiment. And because I want to be responsible with the information I provide to you, let's talk about it a bit.
Rotating herbs and supplements are important for a variety of reasons. If you are on any kind of medication, a rotation schedule helps to lower the risks of adverse interactions. Of course when using herbs, you need to be proactive, talk to your doctor, and do your research when taking medication to know if there are any potential side effects. Some herbs and supplements have strong medicinal properties on their own and you don't want to overwhelm your body.
Another benefit of implementing a rotation schedule is the gained awareness of what actually works for you. You will need a variety of herbs in different seasons. By isolating which herbs you take, you can gage their effects on your overall health. You generally need to use a particular herb for about 3 weeks in order to experience its full effect. Rotating herbs on a monthly basis allows you to reap the benefits without overtaxing your system. "Listen" to your body when implementing any kind of herbals. Take note of how you feel and if your overall health is improving. If you find that to be the case, stick with that particular herb or herbal blend and then start the process over the next month. By doing this, you unpack the generalized sense of not feeling well, and become more aware of your specific health needs. This gives you tools to strengthen your physical health on an ongoing basis.
You can easily do this with the herbal teas you drink. If you are a casual tea drinker, drinking all 3 teas in our Recovery line together is just fine. However, If you are looking for a way to unpack the effects of stress and come up with a plan that helps your overtaxed system, try a monthly rotation of each tea in our Recovery line. By drinking one blend per month, you can take stock of the impact that each tea has on your overall health.
As Jubilee Seasons grows, we will add more tea blends to rotate into your health plan. It is important to us to craft a variety of blends for this very reason. And, we do our research when it comes to herbals, superfoods, and adaptogens. But herbals and supplements are never a one size fits all remedy. Becoming aware of your specific needs and knowing what works for you is vital when it comes to stewarding your health. We are simply happy to provide encouragement and resources for you along the way.
