Have you ever noticed how quickly birdsong can quiet your heart? If you are a highly sensitive person–or if you've been living under chronic stress–you may be especially familiar with the feeling of a nervous system that's constantly on alert. When our bodies have spent too long in survival mode, peace can seem elusive.
Jesus once pointed His listeners to the birds, reminding them that our Heavenly Father faithfully watches over even the smallest sparrow. Modern researchers have found that even a few minutes of listening to birdsong may help reduce stress and encourage a greater sense of calm. This is because we intuitively understand that birds only sing when they feel safe.
So today, I have a simple invitation. Brew your favorite cup of tea. Step outside, or settle into a corner by the window. And listen to the birds sing.

Our Manifesto
We believe God speaks through Scripture and an awareness of His Spirit, but also through sunlight spilling across a page, the quiet persistence of wildflowers, the flash of a hummingbird's wings, and the courage to begin again.
We believe creativity is not a luxury, but an act of healing. One that pays attention to the needs of others and speaks into that need.
We believe every season, even ones we would never choose, hold seeds of renewal. And that if stewarded as such, will lead us back home to ourselves, and into a deeper awareness of the heart our loving Father.
Because of this, our products are designed to support your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs, no matter your season, but ultimately help you find rhythms that allow for joy and wonderment to return when things get hard.
Why an Artist Cottage?
A Note from our Founder, Kristene O'Dell
The Artist's Cottage is the imaginative heart of Jubilee Seasons–a welcoming place where faith, creativity, beauty, and healing meet. It represents our belief that renewal is often cultivated in the quiet, ordinary rhythms of life: putting the kettle on, making something with our hands, noticing what is beautiful, listening for the voice of God, and allowing ourselves to become more fully who He created us to be. The Cottage is more than a setting; it's an invitation to slow down, awaken to wonder, and practice the art of living freely.
Jubilee Seasons - Why the name?
Life unfolds in seasons. Some are filled with light, beauty, and the joy of watching things flourish. Others leave us feeling weary, overwhelmed, and wondering if we will ever feel like ourselves again. The truth is, different seasons require something different from us; and, our most difficult seasons are not meant to define us forever.
